Description of location
 

The municipality of Lloseta is situated in "Es Raiguer" at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains. Lloseta stands out because of its particular geographic location; the back part enjoys the magic of the surrounding mountains whilst the front part has the entire plain of El Pla de Mallorca laid out before it. Lloseta lies in the immediate vicinity of the town of Inca. The railway line which connects Lloseta with Inca and Palma has been in existence since 1875. Neat, stately houses and the pretty Jardines March are the signs of identity of this delightful, small village. Lloseta is known for shoe manufacturing, growing oranges and arts and crafts, which, like its agriculture, have a long tradition. The parish church of Lloseta, devoted to the Virgin Mary, was built in 1937 on an earlier construction. Even before the Christian conquest, a prayer house stood on the same site. Inside, the image of the Virgin of Lloseta in Romanesque style (11th or 12th century) is worth a visit.
