Palio's, Markets and events
Italy has many saints days, bank holidays and any excuse to have a party. These days mean the closure of shops, petrol stations and other retail outlets but cafes, bars, restaurants and other eateries are open to the locals who dine out during these festivals. The streets can be strewn with pictures made from flowers, processions of people clothed in costume of a bygone era with stalls and artisans selling their produce to passers by. Horse races, boat races, archery competitions, the list is endless as is the selection of foods and other products available.
If you are in Italy when there is an event try to participate as you'll experience a little of the community spirit that flourishes here.
Children are most welcome in every eatery no matter what time of day or night. Children are encouraged to participate in every aspect of life, to learn how to behave and to enjoy the company of others. Nothing is too much trouble, you want a pizza with chips on it, no problem.
Churches
Italy is a Catholic country not to say there are no other religions present. Locally there is an Anglican service on a Sunday in addition to the cathedral service and 4 other Catholic services available to worshipers.
It goes without saying that visiting a church to view the works of art, icons or architecture should not be attempted on a Sunday.
Golf Information
There is an international golf course about 30 minutes drive from the property on the south side of Lake Trasimeno. The Lamborgini owners can rent you all you require and the use of the facilities on a daily basis.
