A self-catering cottage In the Alenetjo. Not a resort, but one private accommodation just for you. Santa Margarida da Serra is a friendly mountain-village with low, white plastered cottages, surrounded by endless slopes strewn with thousands of cork-oaks. It is situated near the Atlantic coast, the Costa Azul, with its tranquil seaside resorts like Melides and Lagoa de Santo Andre. You reach Santa Margarida by the A2 motorway from Lisbon airport in about an hour. Sit yourself down under the cork-oaks, take a stroll in the olive-grove, enjoy breakfast under the vines. Provisions : two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, big living room with television, radio, wood-stove. Private terraces with magnificent view, possibility for BBQ etc. For nature-lovers, hikers and those who enjoy the Portuguese outdoor life.

Space and quiet in Alentejo. A rural cottage in the protected nature reserve of Costa Azul, just one hour drive from Lisbon Airport. Reach the beaches in 25 minutes without traffic jams. Ideal if you like walking, biking, good food or just lying in the shade of cork-oaks. A culture-shock in the south-west of Portugal. Sit yourself down under the cork-oaks, take a stroll in the olive-grove, enjoy breakfast under the vines.

  • Guaranty € 150 per reservation. No additional charge for either booking or end-of-stay-cleaning. Maximum habitation four persons; pets allowed only in consultation with proprietors. Additional fee for baby crib € 15,-- /per week. Reservations with 4 adults 25% surcharge. Rates include water, gas, electricity and towels, clean bed-clothes once a week. Free Internet connection and Satellite television. Excluding firewood for the wood-stove.
